Our Commitment
DIE KebApp is committed to making our website and mobile application as accessible as reasonably possible for everyone, including people with disabilities.
We want people to be able to discover local restaurants, access relevant information, participate in available events and community activities, understand promotions, and use DIE KebApp with dignity, independence, and confidence.
Digital accessibility is an ongoing process. We continue to review and improve the user experience across our website and mobile application as the platform develops.
Scope of This Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to:
- The DIE KebApp website;
- The DIE KebApp mobile application;
- Public information pages, including restaurant discovery, event information, partner guides, and legal notices; and
- Account, privacy, and support interfaces where available.
This statement does not automatically apply to third-party services, websites, maps, app stores, social-media platforms, payment providers, navigation services, or restaurant websites linked from DIE KebApp.
Legal Status
This Accessibility Statement describes DIE KebApp’s voluntary accessibility approach and current development objectives.
DIE KebApp is an informational, discovery, event, and gamification platform. DIE KebApp does not sell food, accept food orders, process payments for food, provide food delivery, or accept reservations on behalf of listed businesses.
This statement does not represent a certification that every part of the website or mobile application fully conforms with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, EN 301 549, the European Accessibility Act, or the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz.
Our Accessibility Approach
We design and develop DIE KebApp with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and aim, where appropriate and technically feasible, to achieve WCAG 2.2 Conformance Level AA.
Our accessibility approach is guided by the following principles:
- Perceivable: We aim to present content and interface components in ways that users can perceive, including through semantic structure, sufficient colour contrast, and alternative text where appropriate.
- Operable: We aim to make navigation and interactive elements usable through keyboard navigation on the website, touch interaction, screen readers, and other assistive technologies where applicable.
- Understandable: We aim to make information, forms, navigation labels, and interface feedback clear, predictable, and understandable.
- Robust: We aim to develop resilient website and app components that work reliably across modern browsers, mobile operating systems, and commonly used assistive technologies.
Accessibility Features
Where applicable and available, DIE KebApp aims to implement accessibility practices including:
- Clear page titles, meaningful heading structures, logical content order, and understandable navigation;
- Sufficient colour contrast for text and primary interface controls;
- Keyboard-accessible website navigation with visible focus indicators;
- Descriptive alternative text for informative images and graphic assets;
- Clear labels, input guidance, and understandable error messages for forms;
- Responsive layouts that support text resizing and high-zoom settings without unnecessary loss of content or functionality;
- Interface states that do not rely only on colour to communicate status or important information; and
- Accessible links to legal information, privacy controls, account-management functions, and data-protection requests.
Current Status and Known Limitations
DIE KebApp is in active beta development. While we aim to improve accessibility continuously, some functions and content may not yet be fully accessible.
Known or potential limitations include:
- Third-party services or embedded content, including map layers, navigation services, app stores, and external websites, may have accessibility limitations that are outside our control.
- Certain visual media, promotional graphics, icons, or brand illustrations may require further alternative text or descriptive annotations for screen-reader users.
- Restaurant information, including menus, prices, opening hours, and promotional information, may originate from participating businesses or other identified sources and may not always be available in an accessible format.
- Some QR-code interactions may require camera access. Where a QR-code interaction is necessary to obtain a promotion, reward, or event benefit, we aim to provide a reasonable alternative where practicable, such as manual code entry or verification by participating staff. Availability of an alternative may depend on the relevant event, participating venue, and technical feasibility.
- New or changing beta features may temporarily create accessibility issues while they are being tested, improved, or replaced.
We work to identify, prioritise, and address accessibility barriers through ongoing development, testing, and updates.

We welcome feedback regarding the accessibility of DIE KebApp.
